Critical Settings for Travel
1. Enable Data Roaming on the eSIM
Settings → SIM Manager → tap eSIM → Data Roaming: ON. Travel eSIMs technically use partner networks via roaming.
2. Set Mobile Data to use eSIM
Otherwise your home SIM will use roaming data and you'll be charged by your home carrier.
3. Keep home SIM for calls/SMS
Voice and SMS stay on your home number; only data goes through the eSIM.
4. Disable automatic SIM switching (Samsung)
Some Samsung devices auto-switch SIMs based on signal. Turn off auto-switch to keep data on the eSIM.
Troubleshooting
Phone does not detect eSIM after scan
Ensure Wi-Fi is connected. Restart phone and try again. If still failing, try manual install.
Connected but no internet
