Northern Cyprus eSIM Prices Start Under Three Dollars, and the Rate Improves Sharply With Size
Two figures frame most purchases here. An uncapped card for a single day is 2.55 dollars, less than any block of data on the list, so a short visit is cheap to cover. At the other end, twenty gigabytes over seven days works out to about 0.68 dollars a gigabyte. Everything between those two is a question of how many days you are staying and how much data you expect to move.
An Uncapped Day Costs Less Than Any Block of Data Here
Roamify lists uncapped cards at one, three, five, seven, ten, fifteen and thirty days, starting at 2.55 dollars for the single day and reaching 24.98 for the month. The one and three day cards, at 2.55 and 4.41, sit below the cheapest capped card on the list.
For One to Three Days, Uncapped Is the Simplest Choice
At that length there is nothing to weigh up: the uncapped card costs less than a block of data and removes the need to estimate. A weekend visit is covered for under five dollars.
From About a Week, the Blocks Come Into Their Own
Uncapped for seven days is 8.80 dollars. Ten gigabytes over the same seven days is 7.70. If a week of ordinary use stays inside ten gigabytes, the block is the cheaper route, and it stays that way at fifteen and thirty days.
Twenty Gigabytes Over Seven Days Holds the Best Rate Per Gigabyte
Among the capped cards the rate improves steadily with size. Twenty gigabytes over seven days is 13.57 dollars, about 0.68 a gigabyte, and the fifteen and thirty day versions are 15.05 and 15.14, so a longer stay costs very little extra.
Ten Gigabytes Costs About Half as Much to Buy
Ten gigabytes over seven days is 7.70 dollars at about 0.77 a gigabyte, and the thirty day version is 8.45. For a light-use trip that is the smaller outlay for a rate within a few cents of the best on the list.
The Smaller Blocks Suit Short Stays
Three gigabytes runs 4.03 for seven days, 4.77 for fifteen and 4.92 for thirty. Five gigabytes runs 5.51, 6.25 and 6.35 across the same three lengths. These are the cards to look at when the trip is short and the phone is mostly maps and messaging.
What Airalo Lists for Northern Cyprus
Airalo has one card for this destination: two gigabytes over fifteen days at 6.50 dollars. It is the only alternative to Roamify on the page, and it suits a traveller who already uses Airalo elsewhere and wants everything in one app.
How It Compares on Size and Length
For the same fifteen days, Roamify lists three gigabytes at 4.77 and five gigabytes at 6.25. So at that length the Roamify cards carry more data for the money. If app familiarity or an existing Airalo balance matters more than the per gigabyte figure, the Airalo card is the one that fits.
A Europe Card You Already Own Will Not Cover the North
If you are arriving with a Europe bundle bought for a trip elsewhere, buy locally instead. In the catalogue behind this site there are more than a hundred active Europe products and not one of them lists the northern territory code in its coverage.
Crossing to the Southern Side
The main mobile operator in the north publishes a separate tariff for use on the southern side of the island, priced the way it prices other countries. If your trip crosses, confirm the arrangement with your own provider before you travel, and treat the two sides as separate for planning purposes.
5G Starts on 15 November 2026
If 5G matters to your purchase, the answer today is that the cards here are 4G. The northern regulator has published a start date, so this is a question with a dated answer rather than an open one.
What the Regulator Published
In a notice dated 13 August 2026 the regulator set terms for 5G services in the 700 MHz and 3600 MHz bands, naming 15 November 2026 and both licensed mobile companies. The main operator states on its own site that it reached 99.6 per cent population coverage with 4.5G, which is the network generation these cards use today.
Kyrenia, Famagusta, Nicosia and the Karpaz Take the Same Card
Where you are going on the island does not change what to buy. Every card covers the territory as a whole and none is priced by district, so a Kyrenia eSIM is the same product as one used in Famagusta or in northern Nicosia.
Buy for the Length of the Trip, Not the Route
The drive from Kyrenia on the north coast out to the Karpaz peninsula, or east to Famagusta, changes nothing on the bill. Pick the card by how many days you are staying and how much data you expect to use, and the route takes care of itself.
