No Trinidad and Tobago eSIM Here Runs Without a Data Cap, and Every Rate Falls Inside One Narrow Band
Two features of this list decide almost everything about buying for Trinidad and Tobago, and both are absences. There is no uncapped card at any duration from any card here, so the shape of the decision is fixed: pick a block of data and a length. And there is no wider regional card sitting beside the local ones, so the comparison a buyer can make runs only within the fourteen cards above. What is left is a set of rates that are close enough together to make the usual hunt for a bargain largely pointless.
Not One Uncapped Option Anywhere in This List
The groups above run to thirty days and stop; there is no unlimited group at all, from Airalo, Esimaccess or Roamify. That is unusual enough to state plainly, because it removes an option most visitors expect to find.
Estimating Replaces Buying Your Way Out
Anyone who normally buys uncapped for a short trip and stops thinking about it has to estimate here instead. The practical consequence is that the amount of data matters more than the length of the stay, since running out means buying again rather than slowing down.
The Rates Sit Close Enough Together That Size Is the Only Real Lever
Sort the fourteen cards by cost per gigabyte and the whole table fits between roughly five and nine dollars. The dearest rate is under twice the cheapest. On a list where the spread is that tight, hunting for the bargain card is not worth the effort it takes.
Esimaccess Holds Both Ends of the Table
The best rate and the worst rate are both Esimaccess cards. Its twenty-gigabyte monthly card is the cheapest data on the islands at about 5.32 dollars a gigabyte; its one-gigabyte weekly card is the most expensive at 9.10. Everything from Roamify and Airalo falls between those two points, which is why the choice comes down to how much data the trip needs.
One Pair Where the Longer Card Costs Less
At five gigabytes the fifteen-day card from one brand is priced slightly below its seven-day card. It is the only place in the list where holding a block longer costs less, and the gap is small. At ten and twenty gigabytes the same brand runs the ordinary way round.
There Is No Wider Card for These Islands
The local cards are the only cards. No Caribbean group appears beside them, so a visitor combining Trinidad and Tobago with another island cannot cover both from a single purchase made here.
Why That Is Worth Saying Rather Than Leaving Out
A page that simply lists what exists lets a reader assume the missing option is somewhere else on the site. It is not, for these islands. For a multi-island itinerary the second purchase has to be made on the other destination page.
LTE Is Still What the Regulator Calls the Main Technology
Trinidad and Tobago has an active regulator that publishes market reports and spectrum plans, which makes the 5G question answerable in a way it usually is not. The answer is that commercial 5G has not been announced.
What the Market Report Says
In its annual market report covering 2023, the authority states that LTE is the main technology employed for the provision of mobile broadband Internet services. The report does not mention 5G at all. Its spectrum plan of August 2024 notes only that the bands contained in this Plan can accommodate the deployment of second, third, fourth and fifth generation technologies, which describes capacity rather than deployment.
A Framework Exists, a Launch Does Not
The authority published a 5G framework in September 2023 identifying candidate bands including 3.3 to 3.4 GHz and 24.25 to 27.5 GHz. No statement from the regulator or from either operator announcing a commercial 5G launch was found. Every card in the list above is sold as 4G, which for once matches what the regulator describes.
Port of Spain, San Fernando, Chaguanas and Scarborough Buy the Same Card
Nothing in the local list is scoped to one island or one town. Buying for Port of Spain and buying for Scarborough pull the same fourteen cards, because every card covers the twin-island state. A Scarborough eSIM is not sold as its own product.
Tobago Is Not Priced Apart From Trinidad
Scarborough on Tobago draws on exactly the same list as Port of Spain, San Fernando and Chaguanas on Trinidad. The crossing between the two islands changes nothing on the bill. Whether coverage is equally good on both is a network question, and neither of the two licensed operators is named by any brand here.
The Next Spectrum Move Published Is Satellite, Not 5G
The most recent spectrum announcement from the regulator points somewhere unexpected, and it is worth noting because it is the direction the islands are actually documented as moving in.
What Was Invited in June 2026
On 26 June 2026 the authority published an invitation for applications for the assignment of spectrum for the accommodation of non-terrestrial networks in the 2 GHz mobile satellite service bands. That is the satellite direct-to-device category rather than a terrestrial mobile upgrade. It changes nothing for a card bought today, and it is the clearest published signal about what comes next.
