Özbekistan eSIM

Internet in Uzbekistan comes from four operators, Beeline Uzbekistan, Ucell, Mobiuz and Uzmobile, and an eSIM in Uzbekistan joins one of them as a visiting device. Nothing on this page states which operator a plan roams onto, so no plan is better placed than another on that point. Every plan in the Uzbekistan group carries a 4G label, and none declares 5G. That label describes our own catalogue for this destination, not what the operators have built on the ground. No coverage figure for the country is solid enough to repeat, so this page carries none. The desert stretches between cities are exactly where you will not want to be loading maps, so download them before leaving Tashkent. Data roaming in Uzbekistan needs to be on for the travel line and off for your home line, whose carrier would otherwise charge its own roaming rates. Cell phone service in Uzbekistan on your normal number continues for calls and texts, billed under your home carrier's terms. The high speed rail line across the country is a travel decision rather than a data one, since the whole route sits on one price. Crossing into Kyrgyzstan is a different matter, because it is sold on its own page and an Uzbekistan plan does not list it.

To buy an eSIM for Uzbekistan, confirm first that your phone has eSIM hardware and no carrier lock, because an eSIM is simply a profile written to the phone and neither problem can be fixed from this page. Dialing star hash 06 hash shows whether an EID sits next to the IMEI. Checkout delivers a QR code, and the install needs an internet connection, so do it at home rather than in the arrivals hall in Tashkent. Activating needs no connection, which is why installing first and activating later is the order that works. Most plans start their day count on the first connection to an Uzbek network, and each product page states the rule for that plan. After landing, turn the new line on and enable data roaming for it alone. An eSIM card for Uzbekistan is tied to the handset it was installed on, so a dead phone cannot pass it to a borrowed one. An Uzbekistan SIM card from a local operator shop is bought in person and is the route to a local number, which some long stays need. That Uzbekistan prepaid SIM card is not sold on this page. For a two week trip, an e-SIM for Uzbekistan saves the shop visit and works before you reach the train to Samarkand.
