A Gigabyte in Belarus Costs Between One Dollar and Eight, Depending Which eSIM You Pick.
A gigabyte for Belarus runs from about one dollar to more than eight depending on which card you pick, which is the widest spread on this site. The decision on this page is which card you buy, not where in Belarus you are going: nothing here is priced by city, and Minsk, Brest and Homel all draw on the same list.
Compare Every Plan for Belarus
The plan list above shows every Belarus plan we sell, and it counts both Belarus only plans and wider regional plans that include Belarus, because you can buy either from this page. Prices and lengths come from the live list and change when suppliers reprice.
Roamify: the cheapest data in the list above
The lowest rate per gigabyte on this page, across the full spread of lengths, with unlimited options available. Its entry price is not the lowest here.
Airalo: the widest unlimited choice
More unlimited plans than anything else on this page. Its entry price sits well above the cheapest and its rate per gigabyte lands mid table.
Esimaccess: the lowest entry price in the list above
The cheapest way onto this page, on short cards, with a rate per gigabyte between Roamify and Airalo. No unlimited option.
Telcovision: the outlier
Entry here starts many times above the cheapest entry on this page.
Good Networks, Expensive Travel Data
The pricing on this page is not a reflection of the state of the networks, and it is worth separating the two before you draw a conclusion.
What the published indicators say
The Belarusian Ministry of Communications and Informatization, reporting the International Telecommunication Union ICT Development Index for 2025, gives Belarus a score of 90.7 points against 88.5 the previous year, with 3G network coverage at 99.9 percent and 4G LTE coverage at 98.4 percent. It also reports that 91.5 percent of the population uses the internet and 92.5 percent of households have access. By those measures the infrastructure is strong.
So why is the data expensive here
Because what you are buying here is wholesale access negotiated upstream, and that is a separate market from the domestic one. A country can have excellent networks and expensive wholesale terms at the same time, and Belarus is a clear example. It is also why the eightfold spread on this page exists: the brands with better terms here pass them on and the others do not.
Where the Coverage Figures Stop Being Useful
A 98.4 percent 4G figure is genuinely high. It also describes population, which is the same limitation every coverage statistic in this catalogue carries.
Population, not territory
Belarus is heavily forested and has large areas of marsh and protected land. Coverage figures built on population describe where people live, and settlement is concentrated. The figure tells you Minsk, Brest, Homel and the towns between them are well served. It does not describe Belavezhskaya Pushcha, the Pripyat marshes or the forest roads.
Nobody publishes the rest
There is no published signal data for the national park trails, the marsh routes or the minor roads through the forest. We are not going to convert a population figure into a claim about them. If your trip leaves the main routes, download offline maps before you go.
Sizing a Plan Where Data Is Not Cheap
On most pages in this catalogue the advice is to round up because the difference costs a couple of dollars. Here it does not, so the arithmetic deserves more attention.
Estimate before you buy, not after
With about eight times between the cheapest data here and the dearest, picking the wrong card costs far more than picking the wrong size. Work out which brand suits the length of your stay first, then choose the size within it. That is the reverse of the usual order and it is the right one for this market.
Where the allowance goes
Maps, messaging and translation remain modest. Automatic photo and video backup does not, and neither does streaming. On an expensive page like this one, turning off automatic uploads until you are on wifi is worth real money rather than a rounding error.
Compare, Then Buy
Three things decide whether the plan you bought is the plan you can use, and none of them can be fixed after you land.
Phone, profile, days
Your phone must support eSIM and must not be carrier locked, which is the single most common reason a purchase turns out to be unusable. Install the profile at home while you still have a connection you trust: installation and activation are separate steps, so it does not start the validity period. Our installation guide walks through the iPhone and Android steps at esimcenter.com/setup. Then match the day count to the trip with a day of margin, because validity runs in calendar days from activation rather than days of use. On this page especially, compare the brands before you compare bundle sizes.
The Boundaries of a Data Plan
These are data plans. Two consequences follow, and they cover most of what people ask afterwards.
Calls, messages and your own number
Calls and texts over the mobile network are not included, and no plan here gives you a Belarusian number. Internet calling works normally. Turning data roaming off on your home line before you arrive matters more than usual here, given how expensive data is in this market.
Tethering, and what happens when it runs out
Tethering works and draws on the same allowance, so a laptop will move through a bundle much faster than a phone will. When the data is gone the connection simply stops, with no per megabyte charge afterwards. Buying a replacement needs a connection, which is the awkward part, so installing a second small plan before you travel is cheap insurance: an installed plan costs nothing until you activate it.
